As you know, we have recently been selecting candidates for the Unitary Elections in May of this year. However we have a number of vacancies that haven't yet been filled, they are: -
Corby West - 2 vacancies
Irthlingborough - 1 vacancy
Kingswood - 3 vacancies
Lloyds - 3 vacancies
Plus any others that become available as people move / withdraw. You can see the areas included within each Unitary Ward by clicking here - https://consultation.lgbce.org.uk/node/613
If a paid up member of CENCA, you are eligible to put yourself forwards as a prospective candidate for these elections. For Unitary Elections (Town Council Elections will be dealt with at a later date), there are 2 Stages to go through: -
1. Complete and return the formal Application Form by Tuesday 25th February. (A copy is below)
2. Attend the Selections Hustings and make your 3 minute speech (venue to be confirmed) at a CENCA Exec meeting which will be on Friday 28th February. Members of the Exec Committee will vote to choose the successful candidates on the night.
If you have already completed an Application Form for the last round of Selections, you will still need to complete the attached form indicating your new preferences.
If you wish to be considered, but cannot return your completed form by the specified date, please let Ann at CENCA know without delay (firstname.lastname@example.org or 01536 200255) so that we can consider an appropriate course of action. Additionally, if you cannot attend the Hustings, please send in a written speech, lasting no more than 3 minutes, which will be read out on the night on your behalf.
Should you have any queries relating to any of the above, please do get in touch.
